Gregg Sawyer is an artist! His work is high quality and delivers far more than he promises. We are so fortunate to have him in Cheyenne!

We love our new water feature, it is absolutely beautiful. It takes a special skill to create such a natural looking waterfall in someone's backyard. Greg and his crew did an amazing job!

Gregg Sawyer and his crew are the hardest worker's. We have had 2 water features done over the past 11 yrs and just had one refurbished last week and I couldn't explain how happy we are. Greg has always done amazing work and goes up and beyond to make sure sure everyone's happy. Greg and the Sawyer crew. Thank you again for everything. I'm sure will see you again soon. The Sawyer Story

Our story starts back in 1988, in our backyard in Cheyenne WY.  The summer before my 6th grade year. We had just purchased a brand new home and the backyard was a sloping hill of dirt!

Luckily my father Ron was a teacher and we had the summers off to attend to our blowing dirt problem.

The original plan was to install sod and a sprinkler system. With our backyard measurements in hand, we headed over to Sutherlands to get the irrigation parts we needed.  As we walked into the garden section, I became fascinated by a little plastic pond with a bubbling fountain.  To this day, I can remember exactly what the setup looked like.

Along with my persistence and the lack of knowledge on what we exactly needed for a complete irrigation system, my dad agreed to buying me my first pond!

For the first time up to that point in my life, I was truly excited for some manual labor ;)….digging my first pond!

That one pond turned into a summer hobby of tweaking existing ponds and building new ones. After ten years of experimenting and a backyard full of ponds, eight to be exact, we had gained enough experience to build ponds for other people.

It was a hobby that gained so much attention and admiration from others that in 1999, I decided to give it a go and to start a pond building business. I graduated from the University of Wyoming that Spring and had just received a job at McCormick Jr. High School as a Science teacher.

Having the summers off would serve to be an ideal business.

With my brother Dan also following in Ron’s footsteps and becoming a teacher, we all three had the summers to build ponds. This truly is the epitome of a family business. Ron retired from teaching in 2006 and continues to drive truck for us in the summer months.  My mom, Jeanne retired from the State of Wyoming in 2010 and has since been a very important part of what we do.  She along with my wife Anya take care of the office work.
